I had never heard of a hedge witch until I met my friend Lydia, who loved to spend hours exploring the hedges in Dogtown, a wild nature preserve in Gloucester, Massachusetts. She would walk for hours, get lost and find her way back, communing with the hedges and all who lived in them.
